TURKISH BUBBLES BY CHAOS

Chaos has been a very rapidly growing tobacco brand, that always has had unique flavors.

One specifically is the Turkish Bubbles. They come in 50g (3.99$) or 250g (18.99$) on 5starhookah.com

When we tried Turkish Bubbles for the first time, we did not expect the flavor to be so similar to something we grew up in.

One of the Islands of Greece called Chios, is the only place in the world that produces natural, tree-grown mastic gum.

Mastic is excreted by the resin glands of certain trees and dries into pieces of brittle, translucent resin. When chewed, the resin softens and becomes a bright white and opaque gum.

The flavor is bitter at first, but after some chewing, it releases a refreshing flavor similar to pine and cedar.

Now, why is it called ‘Turkish Bubbles’ and not ‘Greek Bubbles’?

Traditionally there has also been limited production of mastic (during the Ottoman Rule) on the Cesme peninsula in Turkey, just eight nautical miles from Chios. There’s a lot of history behind this, but this is a tobacco flavor review and not a history lesson!

So let’s talk about the flavor. What does it taste like?

We really do not have an accurate description of the flavor; it’s just a ‘Mastic’ flavor. Chaos has a few versions of the bubbles in Europe where we don’t have in the US. Here’s some examples:

We have an article on Chaos, as a brand so we will conclude this flavor review on the flavor only.

Is it a good flavor? Yes. If you know what mastic tastes like, or have any idea of what mastic is, you will get a flavor that is spot-on.

If you don’t even know what mastic is, tastes or smells like, we would say to give it a try!

Here’s a little mixing tip: Add some cinnamon mixer in the bowl, and you still be even more amazed by this flavor.
